A new Special Collection on preventing and responding to domestic violence within Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender or Queer (LGBTQ) communities has been published by VAWnet, the US National Online Resource Center on Violence against Women. It was done in partnership with the Minnesota Center Against Violence and Abuse.

The resources and research compiled in the collection, Preventing and Responding to Domestic Violence in Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, or Queer (LGBTQ) Communities (July 2013) illustrates LGBTQ communities' experiences of violence in the United States.

The collection addresses domestic violence within LGBTQ relationships, the impact on society, and provides culturally specific guidance for policy and practice. The collection is relevant for LGBTQ individuals and straight allies as well as professionals working in the field.

New Zealand resources on intimate partner violence in LGBTIQ communities include the You, Me, Us - Our People, Our relationships booklet developed by OUTLINE NZ and Rainbow Youth.
