Applications for the second distribution of the Ministry of Social Development's (MSD) Capability Investment Resource funding are now open. This is part of Investing in Services for Outcomes (ISO), which aims to improve outcomes for children, families, whānau and communities, through a "streamlined and consistent contracting approach".

A $31.65 million fund, the Capability Investment Resource is to be distributed over four years from 2012/2013. Organisations currently funded by MSD to deliver services are eligible to apply. Applications are also encouraged from collectives and collaborations (two or more organisations working together).

Grants under the Capability Investment Resource are initially focussed on access to a capability mentor to assist in organisational capability self-assessments and action plans or an organisational capability development plan. Over the period of the resource, the focus will shift to supporting collective impact initiatives and innovative collaborations.

The three funding streams under the second distribution focus on organisational capability self-assessment, planning and implementation.

Stream 1: Organisational Capability Self-Assessment and Development Planning

Stream 2: Organisational Capability Development Planning Only

Stream 3: Implementing an Organisational Capability Development Plan

Applications close on the 30th of August.

Visit the MSD website for more information on the funding streams and application process.
