Applications for the Lottery Community Sector Research Fund are now open.  The fund provides for research and evaluation "by the community, with the community, for the community".

The Fund states, "Research is the use of a systematic process to provide the answers to questions you might have in your community. Evaluation looks at the quality or value of something such as a project or service to your community." Proposals may include either research or evaluation or both.

Priority will be given to research proposals which will benefit the community; detail community involvement, including collaboration with similar organisations and/or the local community; the relevance of results to the other New Zealand communities; and the research capacity and capability development for the organisation and participants.

Applications close Wednesday 21 August 2013. For more information, see the Community Matters website.
