Results against the Government's Better Public Services targets have been released for the year ending 03/2013. They are available on the State Services Commission website.

The two targets most relevant to family violence are reducing recorded total crime, violent crime and reoffending; and reducing the number of assaults on children, based on Child, Youth and Family substantiated findings of physical abuse.

Further information on the targets for reducing crime is available on the Ministry of Justice website. Further information on the target for reducing the physical abuse of children is available on the Ministry of Social Development website.

The Government announced the Better Public Services '10 challenging results' in March 2012, the targets in June 2012 and released the Action Plans in August 2012.
