Pasefika Proud – "Our Families, Our People, Our Responsibility"

Strengths-based initiatives in Pacific communities to help support and build strong families that are free from violence.

The Pasifika Campaign Fund

The Pasifika Campaign Fund provides one-off grant funding to assist Pacific communities to use their culture to increase awareness, knowledge and understanding of the impacts of violence in Pacific families and communities (and where possible to access the Pacific Conceptual Frameworks for family violence to do that). Applications close Friday 21 September 2012.

Pacific, Mainstream and Māori Family Violence Provider Capability Fund

The Pacific, Mainstream and Māori Family Violence Provider Capability Fund ('the Fund') aims to build the capability of Pacific practitioners including Pacific and non-Pacific staff who deliver family violence services and programmes in the family violence sector.

The Fund is targeting two categories

1. The first category and priority group will be building the capability of Pacific providers of family violence services and programmes. This is so they can sustain and/or build their operations with a distinctive Pacific focus.  These providers have already been identifed in the Pacific family violence provider stocktake report.

2. The second priority group the funding is for is Mainstream and Māori providers who can demonstrate that they deliver and/or tailor services and programmes to Pacific victims of family violence, perpetrators and their families. Funding Mainstream and Maori family violence providers' staff capability is crucial if we are to ensure that they respond appropriately to the needs of Pacific peoples affected by family violence.

It is important to read the criteria and eligibility and apply on the correct application form.

Applications close on Friday, 21 September 2012.
