Hosted by CEI, Monash University, and BISI, the Summit will share the latest advances, case-studies and results across the full spectrum of evidence synthesis and translation, evaluation and implementation science.
EIS 2023 brings together policymakers, researchers, implementation scientists, program evaluators, practitioners, academics and organisation leaders to share advances and debate how high-quality evidence, well implemented, can change lives for the better.

Speakers:
- Dr Bianca Albers, PhD, is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Zurich’s Institute for Implementation Science in Health Care and a seasoned organisational leader, investigator, and project manager with 15+ years’ experience in promoting the uptake of evidence in policy and practice in health and human services.
- Eric Barends (Ph.D., VU University Amsterdam) is the managing director of the Center for Evidence-Based Management. He has twenty years of management experience, fifteen years at the senior management level, including five years as an executive. He advises and coaches managers, senior leaders, and executive boards of large and medium sized companies and non-profit organizations on evidence-based decision-making.
- Dr Robyn Mildon, PhD, is an internationally recognised figure in the field of research translation and implementation science and program and policy evaluations in health, education and social services. She is the Founding Executive Director of the Centre for Evidence and Implementation (CEI www.ceiglobal.org ), a global social purpose organisation whose work now spans across 8 countries.
- Professor Nick Sevdalis is Visiting Professor and Academic Co-Director of the NUS Centre for Behavioural and Implementation Science Interventions, Singapore.
- Dr Vivian Tseng is President and CEO of the Foundation for Child Development, a private foundation dedicated to harnessing the power of research to ensure that all young children benefit from early learning experiences that affirm their individual, family, and community assets, fortify them against harmful consequences arising from poverty, racism, prejudice, and discrimination, and strengthen their developmental potential.

We invite you to consider the 2023 Summit themes in the context of current global challenges and the (above) areas of interest, leveraging creative formats. Summit contributions will be available to both the in-person audience in Melbourne and the vibrant and diverse global network of Summit attendees participating online.
